Molecular Templates to present preclinical data on Engineered Toxin Bodies (ETB) at the 5th Annual RNAi and miRNA World Congress

GEORGETOWN, TX–April 22, 2011–Molecular Templates, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company focused on the discovery and development of a new class of small biologic therapies called Engineered Toxin Bodies (ETB), announced today that it will present preclinical data in a poster presentation at the 5th Annual RNAi and miRNA World Congress in Boston, MA during April 26-27, 2011. In a presentation, entitled“Engineered Toxin Bodies (ETB) Deliver siRNA Payloads to the Cytosol of Targeted Cells”, the company will report the development of ETBs that are capable of delivering siRNAmolecules in a target and cell specific manner. ETBs possess biological active properties that allow them to target and internalize against specific extracellular receptors and then mediate their own intracellular translocation to the cytosol to deliver various therapeutic payloads.
